On 70th Anniversary of Indian Independence Britain has announced 2017 as UK-India Year of culture.
To mark the Occasion, UK Institute will partner with Indian Institutes for the program and the British Library will digitize 2,00,000 pages from its South Asian Archives

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated Ambedkar memorial at King Henry’s Road in London, United Kingdom on his visit to UK. Prime Minister unveiled a plaque to mark the dedication of the Memorial and was accompanied by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Maharashtra government had bought this house in London where social reformer and architect of the Indian Constitution Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar had stayed as a student in the 1920s.
नैनालाल किदवई बनीं सिप्ला की स्वतंत्र निदेशक
सिप्ला ने एचएसबीसी इंडिया की निवर्तमान चेयरमैन नैनालाल किदवई को अपने निदेशक मंडल में बतौर स्वतंत्र निदेशक नियुक्त किया है।

साइना नेहवाल ने चाइना ओपन 2015 में रजत पदक जीता
ce Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal has won silver medal at 2015 China Open Superseries Premier Badminton tournament after finishing at second position in the Women’s Singles category.
Saina and Li had met 12 times against each other and Saina has won just 2 of those games.
Women’s Doubles category: won by Chinese pair of Tang Yuanting and Yu Yang.
Mixed Doubles category: won by Chinese pair of Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei.
Men’s Singles category: won by Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia.
Men’s Doubles category: won by South Korea pair of Kim Gi-jung and Kim Sa Rang.
