Who has appointed as India’s Permanent Representative to UN- Syed Akbaruddin
संयुक्त राष्ट्र में भारत के स्थायी प्रतिनिधि के रूप में किसको नियुक्त किया गया है-सैयद अकबरुद्दीन
Senior Indian diplomat Syed Akbaruddin has been appointed as India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations at New York.
He will succeed Asoke Kumar Mukerji who will be retiring soon. In his new role, Akbaruddin’s main task would be to push India’s bid to gain permanent membership of the UN Security Council (UNSC) and also strongly advocate its position on key issues.
Veteran actor Saeed Jaffrey passes away
Veteran actor Saeed Jaffrey has passed away in London, England. Jaffrey was born on 8 January 1929 in Malerkotla in then Punjab province of British India. He had started his career in All India Radio (AIR) and later as a theatre actor.
Jaffrey was the first Indian to take Shakespearean plays on a tour to the United States. He had appeared in more than 100 Bollywood productions in the 1980s and 1990s
Awards and Honours: He was also the first Indian to receive the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1995 for his contributions to drama.

जाने माने अभिनेता सईद जाफ़री का निधन हो गया है।सईद जाफरी की बॉलिवुड में अहम फिल्में रही हैं- गांधी, मासूम, शतरंज के खिलाड़ी, हिना, राम तेरी गंगा मैली, चश्मे बद्दूर, जुदाई और अजूबा आदि। सईद जाफरी की ब्रिटेन में भी उत्कृष्ट अभिनेता की पहचान थी।
Health Ministry inaugurates country’s first AMRIT outlet at AIIMS in New Delhi
Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare launched the Affordable Medicines and Reliable Implants for Treatment (AMRIT) pharmacy outlet at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi.
The purpose of the first of its kind outlet is to reduce the expenditure incurred by patients on treatment of cancer and heart diseases by 50 to 60%.
एम्स में शुरू हुआ ‘अमृत’ आउटलेट
कैंसर और हृदय रोगों के इलाज के खर्च को कम करने के लिए केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री जेपी नड्डा ने एम्स में देश का पहला अमृत आउटलेट शुरू किया जो बहुत ही रियायती दर पर दवाएं बेचेगा।
नड्डा ने कहा, ‘अमृत (उपचार के लिए किफायती दवाएं एवं भरोसेमंद प्रत्यारोपण) कार्यक्रम के तहत हम किफायती दर पर दवाइयां देना चाहते हैं। हमने कैंसर और हृदय रोगों की 202 दवाइयों की पहचान की है, जहां कीमतें औसतन 60 से 90 फीसदी तक कम होने जा रही हैं।
International Day for Tolerance observed across the world on – 16 November
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सहिष्णुता दिवस दुनिया भर में कब मनाया गया – 16 नवंबर
The International Day for Tolerance was observed globally on 16 November 2015 with an aim to educate people about the need for tolerance in society and help them understand the negative effects of intolerance.
This action came in the wake of the United Nations Year for Tolerance 1995, proclaimed by the UNGA in 1993. On 16 November 1995, the UNESCO member states adopted the Declaration of Principles on Tolerance and Follow-up Plan of Action for the year.
Which government has introduced Mobile Governance – Jharkhand government
The Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on 15 November 2015 introduced Mobile Governance in the state to realise the dreams of Digital India during the occasion of 16th Foundation Day of the state.
The State Government launched 14 mobile applications and three web portals on the State Foundation Day to deliver the benefits of information technology to the people of the state in order to bridge the gap between the government and public.
