Which university announces APJ Abdul Kalam Fellowship for Indian students- American University
The University of South Florida (USF) has announced a postgraduate fellowship in the name of former president Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam to support accomplished and talented Indian students looking to study abroad.
Launching the fellowship at the Global Higher Education summit of the Confederation of Indian Industry USF provost Ralph Wilcox said “Dr. Kalam left an indelible mark on the academic community, one that will now continue over time through this most prestigious Kalam Fellowship”.

यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ साउथ फ्लोरिडा ने पूर्व राष्ट्रपति मिसाइल मैन एपीजे अब्दुल कलाम के सम्मान में उनके नाम पर फेलोशिप का ऐलान किया है|पूर्व राष्ट्रपति क्लीन एनर्जी के गहरे सपोर्टर थे| 2012 में उन्होंने यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ साउथ फ्लोरिडा (यूएसएफ) का दौरा किया है| ऐकैडमिक ईयर 2016-17 से प्रत्येक वर्ष कलाम के नाम पर सम्मान दिया जाएगा|
International Migrants Day observed across the world-18 December 2015
International Migrants Day was observed across the world on 18 December 2015. Since 2014, more than 5000 women, men and children lost their lives in search of protection and a better life while migrating.
The year 2015 will be remembered as a year of human suffering and migrant tragedies. Tens of thousands have been exploited and abused by human traffickers. And millions have been made into scapegoats and become the targets of xenophobic policies and alarmist rhetoric.
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रवासी दिवस कब मनाया गया- 18 दिसंबर
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रवासी दिवस हर साल 18 दिसंबर को मनाया जाता है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने सर्वप्रथम 4 दिसंबर, 2000 को दुनियाभर में रह रहे प्रवासियों की बड़ी और बढ़ती हुई संख्या को ध्यान में रखकर यह दिवस आयोजित करने का निर्णय लिया।
18 दिसंबर, 1990 को महासभा ने प्रवासी कर्मचारियों और उनके पारिवारिक सदस्यों के अधिकारों की सुरक्षा पर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया था।
MLAs of Arunachal Pradesh Assembly passed resolution to remove Speaker Nabam Rebia
Out of the total 60 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) of the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly, 33 members on 16 December 2015 passed a resolution to remove the Speaker Nabam Rebia.
The resolution was passed by voice vote by the 33 MLAs. Among them, 20 were rebel Congress MLAs, 11 belonged to the BJP and 2 were Independents. As per the article 179 (c) of the constitution, to remove the Speaker of the house, a resolution of the Assembly should be passed by a majority of all the then members of the Assembly.

अरुणाचल प्रदेश विधानसभा ने अध्यक्ष नबाम रेबिया के खिलाफ महाभियोग प्रस्ताव पारित कर दिया है| जिन 33 सदस्यों ने महाभियोग प्रस्ताव पारित किया, उनमें 20 बागी कांग्रेस विधायक, 11 बीजेपी विधायक और दो निर्दलीय शामिल हैं|

Afghanistan’s WTO membership at the WTO’s Tenth Ministerial Conference (MC10) in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya was approved by World Trade Organization to become the 163rd WTO member and the ninth least-developed country to become a WTO member since the organization was established in 1995.
Director General Roberto Azevedo and Afghanistan’s First Deputy Chief Executive Mohammad Khan Rahmani signed the Protocol of Accession.
Who has appointed as Chief Information Commissioner- R K Mathur
Former Defence Secretary Radha Krishna Mathur (62) has been appointed as Chief Information Commissioner (CIC). He will have tenure of about three years or till they attain the age of 65, whichever is earlier. He succeeds Vijai Sharma as he has retired after completion of his tenure. Conventionally, the senior-most Information Commissioner is chosen as CIC
किसको सीआईसी का मुख्य सूचना आयुक्त नियुक्त किया गया -पूर्व रक्षा सचिव आर.के. माथुर
पूर्व रक्षा सचिव आर.के. माथुर मुख्य सूचना आयुक्त (सीआईसी) नियुक्त किए गए हैं। यह कदम सेवारत सूचना आयुक्तों के बीच से ही प्रमुख नियुक्त करने की परिपाटी से हटकर है।
विजय शर्मा के एक दिसंबर को अपना कार्यकाल पूरा कर लेने के बाद यह पद रिक्त हुआ था। आर.के. माथुर मुख्य सूचना आयुक्त चुने गए हैं। उनका कार्यकाल करीब तीन साल तक होगा जब वह 65 साल की उम्र तक पहुंच जाएंगे।
