PM Modi Inaugurates Petrochemical Project In Dibrugarh
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a petrochemical project in Lepetkata in Dibrugarh, which is the first such project of North-East.
The project has been named as Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Ltd (BCPL).

NASA Astronaut Edgar Mitchell died
NASA Astronaut Edgar Mitchell, who was the sixth man to walk on the Moon, died in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The lunar module pilot on Apollo 14 died at the age of 85.
His death occurred on the eve of the 45th anniversary of his lunar landing, which took place on 5 February 1971.

चांद पर चलहकदमी करने वाले छठे अंतरिक्ष यात्री एडगर मिशेल का निधन हो गया है। वह 86 वर्ष के थे। मिशेल का फ्लारिडा के वेस्ट पॉम बीच में गुरुवार को निधन हो गया।
वह 1971 में ‘अपोलो 14 अभियान के दौरान चांद पर चहलकदमी करने वाले पायलट थे।

Veteran Bollywood actress Rekha was honoured with the third Yash Chopra Memorial Award in Mumbai.

पूर्व सेना प्रमुख जनरल के वी कृष्णा राव का निधन हो गया
Former Army Chief General Kotikalapudi Venkata Krishna Rao, passed away in New Delhi following a cardiac arrest at the military hospital. He was 92. He was the 14th Chief of the Army Staff of Indian Army and had played a key role in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War.
About K V Krishna Rao He was commissioned into then British India Army (now Indian Army) on August 9, 1942 and had an illustrious career spanning over four decades in the force. As a young officer, he had served in Burma (Myanmar), North West Frontier and Baluchistan (now in Pakistan) during the World War II.

Joshna Chinappa wins gold medal in women’s individual squash at SAG
जोशना चिनप्पा महिलाओं की व्यक्तिगत स्क्वैश में स्वर्ण पदक जीता
India’s ace squash player Joshna Chinappa has won the gold medal in women’s individual category at the 12th South Asian Games (SAG).
In the final match played at R G Baruah Sports Complex in Guwahati, she defeated Pakistan’s Maria Wazir by 10-12, 11-7, 11-9, 11-7 score. With this she became first Indian squash player to win individual gold medal in 2016 SAG.
Union Government launches 24×7 multi-lingual helpline
Union Ministry of Tourism has launched 24×7 Toll Free Multi-Lingual Tourist Info Line for international tourists in 12 international languages.
The 12 languages include 10 International languages besides English and Hindi, namely, French, Arabic, Italian, German, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, Chinese, Russian and Spanish.

पर्यटन मंत्रालय ने 12 अंतरराष्ट्रीय भाषाओं में अंतरराष्ट्रीय पर्यटकों के लिए 24 × 7 टोल फ्री बहुभाषी पर्यटक जानकारी लाइन का शुभारंभ किया गया है।
12 भाषाओं में अंग्रेजी और हिन्दी, अर्थात्, फ्रेंच, अरबी, इतालवी, जर्मन, कोरियाई, जापानी, पुर्तगाली, चीनी, रूसी और स्पेनिश के अलावा 10 अंतरराष्ट्रीय भाषाओं में शामिल हैं।
